The Dream has had two big hits, "He Loves U Not" and "This is Me." She quit the band to pursue her own solo career and announced in July 2008 that she has formed a new band called "Lady Phoenix."
Melissa has appeared in the films Love Don't Cost a Thing, The Hollow and Silent Scream.
